What is Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching?
Lifestyle and Wellness coaching helps a client in assessing their life for changes they might want to embrace and brings them through the process of creating those changes in a way that incorporates the whole person– heart, mind, soul and body in each of the dimensions of wellness. The dimensions of wellness include physical, mental/emotional, spiritual, vocational, financial, interpersonal, and environment.
Modern life demands and transitions can cause us to become disconnected from satisfaction in each of these dimensions. Wellness coaching is the path by which a client chooses and obtains those changes which they deem necessary for creating depth and fulfillment of life satisfaction.
Coaching sessions center around assisting clients pinpoint their values and strengths and connect those to a lifestyle reflective of their core values. The basis of wellness coaching is that the client is their own life expert. The coach utilizes tools for establishing client self efficacy unto an uplifting and effective motivation for change. These tools result in bringing forward the desired outcomes in achievable increments for the client.

FAQs:
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions needed depends on the client and the nature of the desired outcome. A client who has already pinpointed a desired outcome may not need as many sessions as a client who is in the exploration phase.
How do I choose session length?
Generally speaking the session length corresponds with the amount of brainstorming time that will be needed. It is suggested to start with 55 minute sessions during the process of creating focus and goals and then scaling to 25 minute sessions once a direction has been selected.
How long should I wait between sessions?
How much time between sessions depends on a client's needs. A client who has a busy life might benefit more by choosing two 25 minute sessions per week rather than one 55 minute session.
What can I expect during a session?
Lifestyle and wellness coaching follows the needs of a client. During each session you will be asked about what goal you have in mind. If you haven't yet pinpointed a direction or if you've had a set back or difficulty of some kind the coach will use various tools to help you figure out your focus. After you have decided on what your focus will be your coach will equip you with tools to be consistent with reaching your goals. Subsequent sessions include reframing difficulties, assessing further goals, and encouragement toward next steps.
What is required of me during sessions?
Clients who get the most out of coaching are those who are open to the process and who bring an intentional mindset to the session. Sessions are designed and navigated by the needs and focus of the client and the most powerful generative moments come from clients themselves. The most success comes from setting aside distraction-free session time whether the session is via zoom or over the phone. Come with curiosity and settle in for an encouraging process!
